DEVIANT BORDERS (full length) - A touring production. Directed and performed by Dora Arreola and Andrea Assaf, with Maria Vale and Raquel as the male Chamuco. Produced at New World Art Center Massachusetts .

Through original poetry and movement, Fronteras Desviadas / Deviant Borders explores the feminine body, taboo and rites of passage in the border region. The production is the culmination of a six-month artistic exchange, supported by Cultural Contact (the U.S.-Mexico Foundation for Culture), between U.S. writer Andrea Assaf and Mexican director-choreographer Dora Arreola.  The creative process investigated the maquiladora and sexual tourism industries, and included community workshops in Tijuana , San Diego , and Tecate, exploring the experiences of women in the region.  A gringo tour guide known as El Chamuco leads us on a journey to “the other side” of sexuality, deviance, and culture. 3 to 4 characters

ZAP! (one act) written by Natasha Tsakos and produced at the Green Door Gallery

A political comedy about Ten Ten, a live global television hit, where the arrogant host of the show must reveal the identity of the mysterious guest at exactly 10:10. Kokoff the clown leads us and the backstage technical crew of Ten Ten into a zany metamorphosis of finding joy in these chaotic modern times.

FEMME AND FOE (one act- reading) by Shalo Penuela, at Miami Beach Cinematheque

Beginning from the calm last moments of Hank and Wendy's third date, Femme and Foe catapults into a moving portrait of traditional courtship focusing upon the seething emotions hidden beneath it.  Reminiscence, sharing secrets and darker personas play pivotal roles as chit-chat degenerates into a gut-wrenching study of male/female dynamic.
